Time to break out the confetti and crank up the party tunes, because today we’re celebrating another awesome year of our fantastic city 🥳 

From picturesque landscapes to the bustling downtown core, Guelph exudes charm and character like no other. 

It’s not just a place, it’s our home 🫶

On this occasion, we extend heartfelt gratitude to all who contribute to making Guelph the incredible place it is - from local businesses and organizations to volunteers and residents who pour their passion into shaping our community.

GAIN Fest is happening this month - featuring independent music and artists in a 3 day local festival! 🪕

The Guelph & Area Independent & New Music & Arts Festival, is celebrating it’s 14th year 🎙️

📆 @gainmusicfest will be taking over Downtown from Friday, April 26th to Sunday, April 28th 2024.

This year’s GAIN Fest features over 70 local bands, musicians, DJs & performers showcased across 13 Downtown Guelph venues, cafés, bars and eateries ⚡️

In addition, the Arts Market is happening on Saturday, April 27th at Red Papaya from 2pm - 6pm. This year hosted by Snakeroot Productions.

Today the moon will pass between the Earth and the Sun, casting a shadow on the Earth’s surface 🌎

Guelph: 
🌔 Start: 2:03pm 
🌑 Peak: 3:18pm 
🌖 End: 4:30pm 

Remember to wear approved eye protection if you plan to watch 🕶️

If you capture any photos downtown during the event, be sure to tag us and we will reshare for all to see! (But be careful of those lenses)

We are 5 days away from the solar eclipse! 🌒 

On Monday, April 8, 2024, the moon will pass between the Earth and the Sun, casting a shadow on the Earth’s surface 🌎

Guelph will experience the solar eclipse starting at 2:03pm, and end by 4:30pm. The maximum total eclipse in Guelph will be at it’s peak at 3:18pm. 

This celestial event is not expected to happen again in our area until 2399.

The @guelphpubliclibrary has had all 10,000 eclipse glasses picked up by the community in anticipation of the event 🕶️
