HOPE House, in partnership with the Bookshelf, will be hosting Nick Saul, the Executive Director of Community Food Centres Canada, who has recently released a book called "The Stop: How the Fight for Good Food Transformed a Community and Inspired a Movement".
Nick and his team have completely revolutionized approaches to food insecurity, providing a more holistic model that offers people struggling with food insecurity with nutritious and fresh options while also providing them will skills to help address with the root causes and stigmas that surround poverty. Community Food Centres Canada work to bring people together to grow, cook, share, and advocate for good food and transform community throughout the process.
Nick will be speaking then doing a book signing on June 24 at HOPE House at 7:00pm, where refreshments will also be served.
